If thereโs one cultivar that lives up to its name in every way possible, itโs Blueberry Muffin from Humboldt Seed Co. This grow was one of the most enjoyable and aromatic runs Iโve completed to date.
From germination to cure, this strain delivered consistency, incredible terpene expression, and a smooth, flavorful smoke that makes it a must-grow for any cultivator.
This is my full Blueberry Muffin strain review, covering everything from setup to final yield.
Grow Overview (Quick Stats)
Strain: Blueberry Muffin
Breeder: Humboldt Seed Co.
Grow Type: Indoor (2×4 Tent)
- Germination Rate: 2/3 seeds successful
- Total Grow Time: 116 days
- Veg Time: 32 days
- Flower Time: 63 days
- Dry Time: 9 days
- Yield:
- Plant #1: 97g (3.46 oz)
- Plant #2: 95g (3.35 oz)
Germination & Seedling Stage
I started with three Blueberry Muffin cannabis seeds, using a simple but reliable germination method:
- Soaked seeds overnight in tap water
- Transferred to a damp paper towel
- Waited until taproots reached about ยผ โ ยฝ inch
- Planted into red solo cups with Fox Farms Coco Loco
Two seeds successfully germinated and developed into healthy little seedlings, while one unfortunately did not make it. Blueberry Muffin #1 had some type of mutation or mishap when it came out of its shell as it came out looking almost like a butterfly with a single cotyledon This did not effect the growth at all.
The seedlings established quickly and showed strong early vigor, completing the germination/seedling phase in about 12 days.

Vegetative Stage (32 Days)
Once established, the plants remained in solo cups for about 3 weeks before transplanting into their final containers:
- Final Pots: 3-gallon fabric pots
- Medium: Fox Farms Coco Loco
- Additive: Mycorrhizae applied during transplant
Training Method
The only plant training method used was low-stress training (LST):
- Branches were gently bent using plant wire
- Canopy was evened out for better light distribution
- No topping or high-stress techniques were used
- I noticed while training that plant #2 had developed a mutation in which one of its side branches topped itself and split into two
Despite minimal intervention, both plants responded well and developed evenly.

Grow Setup (Indoor Equipment)
This run was done in a controlled indoor environment using:
- Lights: 2x Viparspectra XS1500 Pro (150W each)
- Tent: AC Infinity 2×4
- Nutrients: General Hydroponics Flora Trio (Micro, Gro, Bloom)
- Supplement: CalMag
Feeding Schedule
- Watering: Every 3โ4 days
- CalMag: Every watering
- Flora Trio: Every other watering
This simple watering and feeding routine proved more than enough to support healthy growth throughout the cycle.

Flowering Stage (63 Days)
The flowering phase lasted 63 days, and this is where Blueberry Muffin truly stands out.
Bud Development & Structure
Both phenotypes were very similar overall, with slight variations:
- Plant #1:
- More elongated, pointy buds
- Scent was a bit stronger
- Darker, more purple color
- Plant #2:
- Denser, golf ball-shaped buds
- Slightly heavier trichome coverage
- Unique natural mutation where a branch split (self-topped)
Despite the structural differences, both plants performed nearly identically in yield.

Terpene Profile โ The Highlight of Blueberry Muffin
This is where this strain absolutely shines.
The aroma and flavor profile were identical across both plants with one being just slightly stronger and completely lived up to the name:
- Strong, sweet blueberry aroma
- Creamy, doughy undertones
- Smells exactly like fresh blueberry muffins
This is easily one of the most unique terpene profiles Iโve experienced. It genuinely stands apart from most other cultivars.
Harvest, Drying & Cure
Both plants were harvested the same way:
- Cut at the base
- Hung whole upside down in the tent
Drying Conditions
- Temperature: ~60ยฐF
- Humidity: ~60% RH
- Duration: 9 days
After drying:
- Trimmed over a trim bin (collected trichomes)
- Placed into Grove Bags for curing
Final Yield Results
- Plant #1: 97g (3.46 oz)
- Plant #2: 95g (3.35 oz)
Combined total yield: ~192g (6.8 oz)
The yields were very consistent between both plants despite slight phenotype differences.

Smoke Report
- Flavor: Strong blueberry with creamy pastry notes
- Smoothness: Very clean smoke
- Overall Experience: Extremely enjoyable and flavorful
This strain is all about terpenes and flavor, and it delivers at a very high level.
My Experience with Blueberry Muffin
This grow was about as smooth as it gets:
- No major issues during the entire cycle
- Consistent plant structure and growth
- Outstanding terpene profile
- Solid yields for a 2×4 setup
The only downside was the 1/3 germination miss, but the two successful plants more than made up for it.
Is Blueberry Muffin Worth Growing?
Absolutely.
If you’re a grower who values, unique terpene profile, easy, low-maintenance growth, and consistent results, then Blueberry Muffin from Humboldt Seed Co. is a must-grow strain.
This is one of those cultivars that every grower should experience at least once.
