When it comes to THCA cannabis and pre-rolled joints, The Dopest Shop is a pretty popular brand of choice. To test expectations vs. reality, I personally tried four of their new offerings: Strawberry Sizzurp Smalls 7g flower, Blue Slushy 2g joint, Black Cherry Punch 3.5g flower, and Cherried Lemonz 2g joint. Here’s my full review—flavor, appearance, aroma, effects—and what it says about overall consistency.
To review the flower products, I used a standard bong and smoked an entire bowl, which is about 4 big hits. Both of the 2g joints were shared between myself and an associate.
Before we get into it, I’d like to say that we love Yola and The Dopest community here at The HighWay. However, we will not be biased in our review and all our findings will be published in the article, whether it’s good or bad.
Strawberry Sizzurp Smalls (7g Flower)

The “SMALLS Strawberry Sizzurp Indica Flower – 7 Grams” is described as a juicy, candy-sweet berry flavor with sugary gas notes on the exhale.
My Notes:
- Looks (5.5/10): small popcorn nugs, very green, light frost
- Smell (5): subtle fruity scent, typical dispo weed scent
- Taste (5.2): a little harsh, has a generic taste profile – not much different than most other strains sold at dispensaries
- Effects (5.7): mild, short‑lived, relaxing but minimal buzz – okay for a quick midday unwind or pre‑bed chill
Verdict: The online description promises bold berry sweetness; I didn’t get much aroma or flavor punch, and effects were underwhelming.
Blue Slushy Pre-Roll (2g Sativa)

Blue Slushie 2g sativa pre‑roll is handcrafted with premium indoor THCA flower, no trim or shake, promising smooth burn and loud flavor.
My Notes:
- Looks (9.5/10): perfectly rolled, glass tip, smooth even burn
- Smell (5.7): pleasant berry aroma but still generic dispo vibe
- Taste (6.2): stronger than smell; fruity berry-forward, smooth
- Effects (6.9): fuller, alert, creative energy—but beware tolerance, it’s a full 2 g joint
Verdict: Delivered on their promise—bold flavor, smooth smoke, strong uplifting effect. Definitely the standout in my lineup.
Black Cherry Punch (3.5g Flower)

Indoor Black Cherry Punch Indica Flower is marketed as rich dark‑cherry sweetness, slightly tart with dessert‑cream smoothness—a spiked cherry milkshake floating in the clouds.
My Notes:
- Looks (8.6/10): dense, dark purple, top trichome coverage; visually impressive and gorgeous when grinded up
- Smell (6.4): sweet and complex fruity notes
- Taste (7): cherry-dominant with a bit of gas, relatively smooth smoke
- Effects (6.7): fast‑acting, decent duration; great for morning or afternoon, stronger hits at night aid winding down
Verdict: Flavor and potency aligned with the description—rich, smooth, satisfying across a range of uses.
Cherried Lemonz 2g Joint (Pre-Roll, Hybrid)

Cherried Lemonz 2g hybrid pre‑roll, it’s billed as a flavor bomb—tart lemon zest and cherry candy, citrus-forward with a light gassy exhale.
My Notes:
- Looks (5.2/10): similar to the Blue Slushy joint but poorly burning, continuously conoeing
- Smell (4): almost no aroma when unlit; chemical note when smoking
- Taste (4.1): plastic-like, harsh, far from fruit stand citrus
- Effects (4.6): weak and unimpressive, least enjoyable overall
Verdict: Terpenes fell flat—chemically off, harsh, and the effects were minimal. A disappointing contrast to expectations and the Blue Slushy experience. It does have great reviews from others though, so maybe it was just a bad batch.
Overall Thoughts on The Dopest Shop
Flavor & Aroma
Descriptions on the website emphasize bold fruit notes and gas-forward exhale. Black Cherry Punch and Blue Slushy delivered on that promise. But Strawberry Sizzurp and Cherried Lemonz lacked the quality advertised—taste and scent felt generic or off.
Consistency & Quality Control
Two products (Blue Slushy and Black Cherry) were solid hits. The other two were inconsistent: Strawberry Sizzurp felt bland and Cherried Lemonz was subpar. That inconsistency is a concern—you shouldn’t get a top-shelf joint one time, then a nearly unusable smoke the next.
Effects & Experience
Bold effects from Blue Slushy and Cherry Punch—creative, relaxing, lasting. But weaker offerings felt flat and unremarkable. As a consumer, you expect closer alignment across offerings.
Conclusion
The Dopest Shop clearly has standout offerings. Blue Slushy and Black Cherry Punch are delicious, potent, and enjoyable. However, notable inconsistency across their range undermines trust. Strawberry Sizzurp was underwhelming, and Cherried Lemonz was harsh and disappointing.
Recommendation: If you stick to their stronger, well-reviewed products, you can enjoy quality THCA flower and pre-rolls. But there’s room for improvement in standardizing mixes and quality across all SKUs. Keep an eye on lab-tested potency and flavor detail before ordering unfamiliar strains.
Overall, a brand with high highs—but also some misfires. Worth trying selectively.
